DAY 1 : April 24, Saturday
ARRIVAL AT BAGDOGRA & TRANSFER TO SINGALILA
Upon arrival at Bagdogra airport by early morning flight you will be met at the airport by your onground travel assistant. The group will then immediately leave for Manebhanjen, the entry point of Singalila National Park. At Manebhanjen, you will change to their vintage Land Rover and travel to the lodge at Tumling, your home for 5 nights.
We will halt for lunch en-route to Tumling. You will reach Tumling by early afternoon. We will also visit the Meghma Monastery on the way.
After much travel, the evening will be spent at leisure discussing how the next few days have been planned for you. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
DAY 2-4 : April 25-27, Sunday-Tuesday
BIRDING AND WILDLIFE TRACKING AT SINGALILA
While our trackers head out in search of the Red Panda, we shall identify suitable trails for searching for Red Panda as well along with looking for other species of birds and mammals immediately post breakfast. Along with our expert naturalists, you can also participate in tracking and birding.
Singalila is home to several species of birds and you must engage yourselves with bird watching, while the trackers are out looking for Red Panda.
As soon as the trackers notify the leader of their find, you will be taken for the sighting.
DAY 5 : April 28, Wednesday
EXPLORING SINGALILA FOR ITS SCENIC VISTAS & TRIP TO SANDAKPHU
Apart from wildlife, Singalila National Park is also quite popular for the scenic vistas that one can see. The Kanchenjunga peak along with other surrounding peaks form the sleeping Buddha, which can be best viewed from Tumling, You can explore the areas around at your discretion.
From March to May, Singalila is also covered in 500 species of flowers including magnolia and 46 species of Rhododendrons !
The famous Sandakphu is the highest point in West Bengal and famously a spot where you can see both Mount Everest and Kanchenjunga. Depending on the sightings, you could opt to trek up or use the Land Rovers to explore the Sandakhu area.
DAY 6 : April 29, Thursday
You will be transferred back to Bagdogra airport today.
We will be visiting the famous Tea Gardens of Darjeeling en-route.
